American Airlines is launching its first rotating collection of premium amenities over Memorial Day Weekend, including a new front-row flagship suite, new bedding, and enhanced dining options. This move by American Airlines is part of an effort to gear up for summer travel and provide luxury in-flight offerings for its customers. The premium amenities will be available on 300 international and transcontinental flights.
The airline is taking a thoughtful approach to enhance the onboard experience for its customers. Kim Cisek, American’s vice president of customer experience, stated that the goal is to provide a memorable travel experience and connect customers to the people and experiences that matter most to them. While most of the new amenities are geared towards premium cabins, main cabin passengers will also have access to new bedding, seat enhancements, 4K seatback screens, Bluetooth connectivity, new charging ports, 1,500 free entertainment options, and high-speed WiFi.
In terms of dining options, American Airlines customers can look forward to new flavors inspired by international cuisine and destinations worldwide. Domestic cold entrées include a Mediterranean bowl, a bistro grain bowl, a pesto pasta salad, and edamame and mandarin orange slaw salad. The premium cabins also offer a variety of new culinary items and award-winning wines, including dishes like macadamia-crusted sea bass with citrus cream sauce
