Amol Kale, Head of Mumbai Cricket Body, Passes Away in the USA While Attending India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup Match

Amol Kale, the President of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), passed away in the USA due to a cardiac arrest. He was watching the India vs Pakistan match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York with MCA office bearers. Kale, a close aide of Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, was in New York with MCA secretary Ajinkya Naik and Apex Council member Suraj Samat.

Kale, 47, had won the MCA presidency by defeating former cricketer Sandip Patil in October 2022. During his tenure, he made significant decisions such as matching the BCCI match fee for all red-ball players for the upcoming season. A prominent businessman from Nagpur, Kale had settled in Mumbai for over a decade and was involved in various businesses.

He was the Founder and CEO of J K Solutions Private Limited and Arpita Enterprises. Despite not completing two years as MCA president, Kale was praised for his decisions, including granting equal match fees to Mumbai cricketers as offered by the BCCI. Under his leadership, the MCA organized several international matches at the Wankhede Stadium.

MCA sources are still waiting for updates from the officials who were with Kale in New York. The news of his passing was met with sadness, with many people expressing their condolences on social media. It is a loss for the cricket community and a personal loss for those who knew him closely.
