AOC has announced a new 27-inch monitor, the Q27G3XMN/BK, that combines MiniLED technologies, excellent performance and targets gamers looking for HDR gaming at an affordable price. The Fast VA panel offers QHD (2560×1440) resolution and features MiniLED backlighting that supports 336 dimming zones, making it VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified.
The Full Range Local Dimming (FALD) backlight solution enhances the HDR experience by allowing some parts of the screen to be completely black while keeping others at a very high brightness. With a color depth of 10 bits (8 bits + FRC), the monitor produces 1.07 billion colors and high color gamut coverage (+95% DCI-P3). The monitor also offers a refresh rate of 180Hz and response time of 1ms GtG.
The ergonomic stand allows for height adjustment, tilt, rotation and adjustment options to fit your needs. It also includes Flicker-Free technology and Low Blue to protect your eyes during prolonged gaming sessions. Gamers can further customize their visual experience with Shadow Control, which allows them to adjust shadow levels and highlights to their liking. Additionally, Adaptive-Sync is supported which allows for variable refresh rates to eliminate tearing and stuttering caused by disproportionate frames.
Covering the sight with Dial Point feature is particularly useful in FPS gaming where sight is missing as it helps aim accurately. The OSD features of the monitor can be adjusted using either AOC G-Menu software or directly on the monitor’s buttons themselves. The Q27G3XMN/BK will be available in November at a suggested retail price of €399, making it an affordable option for gamers looking for an HDR gaming experience with excellent performance.
