Baltimore Bridge Collapse: Ship’s Crew Rescues Lives, Six Still Missing

On the evening of [insert date], a tragic accident occurred on a bridge in Baltimore while workers were repairing potholes. According to authorities, several individuals fell into the waters of the Patapsco River and two workers were rescued, with one in serious condition. Unfortunately, six people remain missing, and search efforts continue using boats and divers.

The collapse of this bridge, which opened in 1977 and is part of Interstate 695, is expected to halt activity at the port of Baltimore. This will impact export and import shipments of vehicles, particularly from Nissan, Toyota, and General Motors. More than 40 vessels are currently stranded in the port, and at least thirty scheduled arrivals will likely be diverted to other east coast ports.
