In March, Croatian citizens are calling for a concert featuring Ceca, the widow of war criminal Zcarongeljko Razcaronatovi Arkan. The posters promoting the event have been placed throughout Zagreb, causing controversy among some citizens. However, three young people were caught on film destroying the posters in Lanište and Dubrava, sparking even more debate about the concert.
In an interview with local media, Ceca responded to criticism and spoke about her belief that music is above politics and borders. She emphasized that she is loved by Croats and not shaken by attacks from extremist minority groups. Despite serving sentences for crimes of genocide against Bosniaks, crimes against humanity, and grave violations of the Geneva Convention, Ceca has maintained her popularity in Serbia and beyond.
Ceca’s married life with Arkan was also a topic of discussion in the interview. She shared details about their relationship and the challenges they faced together. Additionally, she discussed the attempts made to assassinate Arkan and how she coped with negative publicity in general.
