China Breaks World Record in Men’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay at 2024 World Aquatic Championships

Pan Zhanle from China sets new world record with a time of 46.80 in 4×100 freestyle relay lead off.

The 2024 World Aquatic Championships kicked off with the Day 1 Finals Heat Sheet of events. The start lists for the Women’s 4×100 Free Relay and Men’s 4×100 Free Relay were announced.

In the Men’s 4×100-meter Freestyle Relay Final, the world record of 3:08.24 is held by the USA. The championship record is also held by the USA at 3:09.06, and the 2023 World Champion for this event was Australia, with a time of 3:10.16.

The final round saw China take home the gold medal with a time of 3:11.08, followed by Italy at 3:12.08 and the USA at 3:12.29. Other teams competing in the final included Great Britain, Hungary, Greece, Serbia, and Spain.
