Cowboys part ways with wide receiver Martavis Bryant

Martavis Bryant, who was reinstated to the NFL last year after a suspension in 2018, has been released by the Dallas Cowboys, as reported by Tom Pelissero of NFL Media. Despite signing a futures deal with the team after a stint on the practice squad, Bryant has not seen any regular-season game action with Dallas. The last time Bryant played in the NFL was in 2018 with the Raiders, where he caught 19 passes for 266 yards in eight games. Originally drafted by the Steelers in 2014, Bryant’s comeback journey will now continue with another team.

It is reported that other teams are expected to show interest in signing Bryant, who is looking to make a return to the field after a hiatus from the league. In addition to Bryant’s release, the Cowboys have brought in veteran receiver Zay Jones for a visit, possibly as a replacement for Bryant on the roster. Bryant’s time with the Cowboys may have come to an end, but his talent and potential continue to draw interest from other teams in the league who are looking to add depth to their receiving corps.
