The Dunn Center at North Carolina Wesleyan University in Rocky Mount is currently hosting a massive exhibition featuring the paintings of Bob Ross, the renowned American painter, art instructor, and television host. Known for his soothing and inspiring PBS program that ran from 1983 to 1994, Ross’s show taught viewers how to paint while showcasing his unique style and vision.
Bob Cassanova, a lifelong fan of Ross’s work, visited the exhibition to take in the art and share his thoughts with us. As an artist himself, Cassanova deeply connects with Ross’s vision and appreciates the amazing details in his paintings. He finds Ross’s programs to be soothing and enjoys the narrative that accompanies them.
Courtney Moss, the box office manager at the Dunn Center, is thrilled with the turnout for the exhibition so far. Visitors from across the United States and even overseas have come to see the paintings. The exhibit will run through January 4th, 2024, and tickets can be purchased on North Carolina Wesleyan University’s website.
The exhibition celebrates Bob Ross’s talent and impact on art and his fans. With over 75 works by Ross on display, it promises to be a unique experience for everyone who attends.
