Premier Entertainment Group LLC’s owner, Dave Guiler, was recognized as the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Person of the Year during a luncheon celebrating Small Business Week 2024. The event honored Guiler for his hard work and dedication, as well as the achievements of his team.
Guiler expressed his gratitude for the recognition and emphasized the importance of showcasing Premier’s services for large concerts and events in Dothan and nationwide. He also highlighted his pride in representing both the city of Dothan and the entertainment industry with this prestigious award, expressing joy in seeing clients’ dreams come true during successful shows.
Guiler emerged as the winner from a pool of finalists that included Joshue Bane of Evergreen Creative Co., Reginald Greenwood of Sister’s Soul Express, and Sandi Hodge of Shute Pecan Co. Walt Ellis, Wiregrass Wealth Management and the Chamber’s Membership Development Council chairman, recognized the sacrifices and perseverance necessary to run a small business, emphasizing the significance of acknowledging and appreciating small business owners like Guiler.
The week-long events also included surprise patrol visits to local businesses and a Women’s Night Out at the Chamber, with all four finalists serving as guest speakers at the award luncheon. The luncheon was underwritten by presenting sponsor Five Star Credit Union and gold sponsors Barberitoes – A Southwestern Grille and Cantina, Dothan Awning and Exteriors, Eagle Eye Outfitters Inc., Bill Perkins encouraged supporting Eagle journalists by purchasing a digital subscription to receive local business news delivered weekly.
