Doug Emhoff Speaks on Small Businesses and Reproductive Rights in Atlanta: A Closer Look at Biden Administration’s Engagement Efforts

In Atlanta, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff recently visited Sublime Doughnuts in Midtown to speak with owner Kamal Grant about supporting small business owners. During their conversation, Grant highlighted the challenges faced by small business owners, particularly those in the Black community, where access to capital is limited.

As part of the Biden administration’s efforts to engage with voters in battleground states, Emhoff also visited The Gathering Spot in northwest Atlanta for a roundtable discussion on reproductive rights with young voters and members of the group Men 4 Choice. During the discussion, DeVon Lewis expressed concern about his children’s future and the changing political landscape in America.

Emhoff’s visit to Atlanta comes ahead of President Joe Biden’s upcoming commencement speech at Morehouse College. The Biden administration is actively seeking to connect with voters and engage in meaningful discussions on important issues facing the community. In recent months, former President Donald Trump has also visited Atlanta, making it a focal point for political engagement.
