Nov 21, 2023

Despite a holding penalty that went uncalled, the Eagles were able to tie the game at 7-7 in the first quarter with a 3-yard touchdown run by D’Andre Swift. Olamide Zaccheaus held Chiefs safety Mike Edwards during the play, sparking frustration from the Chiefs and their coach, Andy Reid, who sought an explanation during a timeout.

After a rough start with a three-and-out on their first possession, the Eagles quickly turned things around with a 75-yard scoring drive. They didn’t face any third downs during this drive, and D’Andre Swift played a key role by gaining 33 yards on five carries. Jalen Hurts also contributed with a 6-yard run, while DeVonta Smith caught two of Hurts’ completions for 31 yards.

The first quarter of the game saw the Chiefs having 70 yards of offense while the Eagles had 67, making for a competitive start to the matchup.
