The Department of Population and Public Health Sciences is hosting an event titled “Climate Change is Among the Greatest Challenges Facing Humanity: The Responses Must Benefit All People and the Natural World.” This event aims to shed light on the pressing issue of climate change and its far-reaching effects on individuals and the environment.

The speaker for this event is Richard J. Jackson, MD, MPH, FAAP, HonAIA, HonFASLA, who is a Professor Emeritus at the Fielding School of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Jackson has extensive experience in environmental health and public policy, having served as the State Health Officer for the California Health Department and as the Director of the CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health.
