This summer time, Scotland U20 will travel to Nairobi, Kenya, to play in the Planet Rugby U20 Trophy. The tournament, along with the Planet Rugby U20 Championship (which requires location in South Africa), will return for the very first time considering that 2019 right after it was place on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Scotland side will be hoping to regain their spot in the prime competitors when they take the trip to Kenya’s capital in July. To be promoted, they need to win the tournament general.
Kenny Murray, Scotland U20 Head Coach, will when once again lead the young outfit and will name his 28-man squad in June.
Scotland U20 had been drawn in Pool A exactly where they will compete against below-20 teams from Uruguay, Canada/USA and Zimbabwe at Nyayo National Stadium. The outcome of these clashes will then figure out their spot in the play-offs against their respective Pool B teams which involve Spain, Samoa, Kenya and Hong Kong.
