FLINT – Tessa Slogor scored the game’s only purpose on a penalty kick Thursday to give Flushing a 1- victory more than Davison in a Division 1 district soccer game.
Goalkeeper Karsyn Farnsworth produced the purpose stand up by pitching a shutout.
The Raiders will play Grand Blanc at five:30 p.m. Might 31 for a spot in the championship game at Clarkston.
Oxford four, Lapeer three (SO)
Morgan Wilcox scored twice for Lapeer, which got a single purpose from Anna Megie in a Division 1 matchup. Wilcox opened the scoring and then gave the Lightning a three-two lead in the second overtime ahead of Oxford forced the penalty kick competitors.
Lake Fenton eight, Owosso
Lily Usher produced 15 saves in purpose for Owosso to finish her profession with an MHSAA-record 773 saves. Lake Fenton will play Kearsley Might 30 for a spot in the Division two championship game at Clio.

Flushing splits with Brighton
Braden Slogor pitched a six-hitter with 5 strikeouts Thursday to earn Flushing’s baseball group a split with a four-1 victory in the nightcap vs. Brighton.
Brayden Jones and Coleman Brandow each had two hits for the Raiders.
In the opener, Peyton Gillean permitted and struck out 5 in a two-1 Flushing loss. Jones and Gillean each had two hits for the Raiders.
New Lothrop splits with Durand
Ty Kuhlmann and Joseph Torres had two hits apiece for New Lothrop in a 7-five loss in the eight-inning opener.
New Lothrop won the second game 14-four behind 3 hits and 5 stolen bases by Kohlmann. Winning pitcher Torres permitted 3 hits in 4 innings.
Grand Blanc splits SVL twinbill
Grand Blanc beat Bay City Western six-two in the 1st game ahead of dropping the nightcap two-.
In the 1st game, Chace Hunt had 3 hits for the Bobcats, who got two RBIs from Austin Gougeon. Winning pitcher Chris Worley permitted a single hit, 4 walks and struck out eight in four.1 innings.
In the second game, pitcher Jacob Story permitted 3 hits and a single stroll in 4 innings of a two- loss.
SOFTBALL
Owosso sweeps New Lothrop
The Trojans won the opener five-1 behind the pitching Danica Dwyer, who permitted 5 hits, walked 3 and struck out six. Reese Thayer led Owosso with two hits and 3 RBIs. Julianna Loomis also had two hits for Owosso.
Owosso won the nightcap eight-7 in eight innings. Dwyer got the final two outs to earn a save. Lexi Hemker had 3 hits to lead the Trojans, who got two apiece from Jamie Maier and Sydney Somers.
LakeVille sweeps Brown City
Freshman Zoe Swank struck out 11 in the 13-9 opener though adding two hits herself. Larissa Gibson and Anabell Newbery had 3 hits apiece for the Falcons. Newbery had 4 RBIs and Natalie Littleton had two.
In the 14-three nightcap, Jayla Thompson had 4 hits and 3 RBIs for LakeVille, Swank had two hits and Gibson had two RBIs.
