Ford’s M-Sport team principal Richard Millener has put the rumors of Sébastien Loeb’s return to the squad to rest, stating that it is not the focus of the team in 2024. Despite Loeb’s past success with the British squad, including a win at the Monte Carlo Rally in 2022, Millener dismissed any speculation of a Ford Puma Rally1 Hybrid outing for the nine-time world champion in Portugal.
In an interview with DirtFish, Millener emphasized that while working with a legend like Loeb would be a great opportunity, there are no plans for his return at this time. Instead, the team’s program for the season is centered around drivers Adrien Fourmaux and Grégoire Munster. M-Sport’s focus for this year is on running two factory Pumas, with the only potential change being the addition of a customer car alongside them.
Despite this news, Millener made it clear that he remains open to working with Loeb in the future if circumstances change and it becomes possible. However, for now, he stated that Ford’s top priority is supporting its existing drivers and running its factory cars successfully.
