Marko Pjaca (28) was overjoyed when he received the call-up to the Croatian national team for matches against Latvia and Armenia a month ago. Although many predicted Marc Pašalić would be included, Pjaca was thrilled to have the chance to play again. He expressed his eagerness and readiness, stating that he was physically fit and excited to be back in the national team. However, his excitement was short-lived as he experienced muscle pain and had to withdraw from the team for recovery. Soon after, it was announced that he would not be able to compete in the next match either.

Despite his setbacks, Pjaca remains optimistic about his career. He believes that everything happens for a reason and has learned to focus on recovery rather than dwelling on injuries. He reflects on how watching the matches on TV keeps him motivated and reminds him of his silver medal from the 2018 World Championship, which he keeps in a special place at home.

Throughout his career, Pjaca has struggled with injuries but remains determined to make a full recovery and continue playing. He is grateful for the opportunities he has had and hopes to return to competition soon.
