Former Hurricanes star organizes Kennedy Little ones 5K to raise awareness for children’s mental well being

The initially ever Kennedy Little ones 5K race was held in Miami-Dade County on Sunday morning with a fantastic turnout of about 500 participants. The goal of this occasion was to raise awareness about the stigmas surrounding mental well being, especially amongst kids and teenagers. The race started at Constitution Park in Miami Shores, with all the proceeds going towards sources to increase mental well being for little ones and households. Former University of Miami football star and NFL cornerback Robert Bailey spearheaded the occasion, as he lost his daughter Kennedy to suicide a year ago and wanted to turn his discomfort into goal by beginning the Kennedy’s Little ones foundation. Bailey not only organized the occasion but also participated in the 5K himself. In case of crisis, the National Suicide Prevention Hotline can be reached at 1-800-272-8255, or the Crisis Text Line at 74141.
