Epic Games is reportedly in talks with Disney, Marvel’s parent company, to bring new characters and collaborations to Fortnite. Sources claim that the game, known for its crossovers with skins from other successful franchises, will see the addition of heroes from different worlds in upcoming months. This includes characters from the One Piece universe, Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man, He-Man and Skeletor, as well as figures from DC Comics such as Peacemaker and Robin. Additionally, X-Men and Fantastic Four characters are being considered along with a collaboration with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
While no official confirmation has been made by Epic Games regarding these collaborations, data mining has revealed that Fortnite innovations are often revealed in advance. Licensing issues may be the only thing preventing these collaborations from happening. However, this partnership between Epic and Disney is not surprising given their recent creation of an “entertainment universe.” It is unclear if this entertainment universe will have any relation to the new characters and collaborations coming to Fortnite.
