Georgia softball cruised to a 10-1 victory over Kennesaw State in their latest game, scoring nine runs in the first two innings. The Bulldogs nearly doubled their previous game’s totals with 11 hits and 10 runs in this matchup. Madison Kearney led the way with a two-run home run in the first inning, followed by Sydney Chambley and Sara Mosley also hitting home runs during the game.
The Bulldogs pitching staff performed admirably, despite a fielder error that allowed Kennesaw State to score in the first inning. Shelby Walters earned the win after pitching for two innings, allowing three hits and striking out two batters. The Bulldogs utilized four pitchers in total, who only surrendered four hits and three walks while striking out five batters.
Georgia’s roster depth was on full display as 15 different players saw action compared to just eight for Kennesaw State. After an impressive away streak, Georgia will return home to face No. 20 Arkansas during their upcoming SEC series on Saturday, March 30th at noon.
