In the second half, Germany threatened to extend their lead, but the U.S. managed to level the scores for the second time in the 80th minute with a free kick by David Vazquez. However, it was not enough to prevent Germany from securing their victory in the 87th minute when substitute Bilal Yalcinkaya scored a late winner for them.
Germany’s victory took them to the quarterfinals, where they will face Spain on November 24th. This disappointing result for the United States marks their exit from the competition
