The United Auto Workers union on Monday announced the approval of a new labor agreement with General Motors (GM.N) that will expire in April 2028, following which GM CEO Mary Barra and chief financial officer Paul Jacobson will hold a conference call with analysts to discuss the company’s business update. The Detroit automaker is currently facing mounting troubles at its self-driving unit Cruise, which has lost over $8 billion since 2017, including $728 million in the third quarter of this year, according to GM financial disclosures.
