Health Fair Hosted by Public Health District

The Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District is set to host its first health fair in two years on April 4th from 3 to 6 p.m. This year’s theme is “Super Heroes, Super Health” and will attract both children and adults. Over 40 community partners will be present at the event to support the district’s motto: “A healthy community is a strong community.”

The fair will feature more than 30 kid-friendly booths, with additional activities and partners still being added as the event approaches. Attendees can enjoy a range of fun activities, including playing games, participating in activities, having their blood pressure checked, taking part in a scavenger hunt, giving blood, trying a car accident simulator, winning door prizes and more.

In addition to the health fair, Wichita Falls Animal Services will be offering free pet adoptions and free microchipping at their location on 1207 Hatton Road throughout National Public Health Week. This collaborative effort aims to promote health and wellness within the community by encouraging responsible pet ownership.

City Public Information Officer Chris Horgen stated that this year’s health fair is an excellent opportunity for the community to come together and focus on improving their overall health and well-being. He encouraged everyone to attend and take advantage of all the great resources that will be available at the event. Copyright 2024 KAUZ. All rights reserved.
