Hungarian Nationals Welcomes World Record Holder Kristof Milak Back to Competition

Hungarian national championships are set to take place from April 9th to April 12th, marking the return of world record holder Kristof Milak to competition. The 24-year-old swimmer is entered in six events during the Olympic-qualifying competition, including the 50m, 100m, and 200m freestyle, as well as the 50m, 100m, and 200m butterfly. Despite being out of the pool since last year’s Hungarian Championships, Milak already holds Olympic Qualification Times in two events from that competition. He resumed training in mid-January and aims to be in his best form for the Paris Olympic Games.

Zalan Sarkany is another athlete to watch at the Hungarian national championships. He is a PAC-12 conference record holder and set a conference record with a time of 14:23.01 in the men’s 1650y freestyle at the championships. Later, he won the NCAA Championships title in that event with a time of 14:30.57. Nikolett Padar, Gabor Zombori, and Boglarka Kapas are also scheduled to compete at this event.
