The Quality Housing Coalition is thrilled to announce that they have received a $30,000 donation from InterMed to help in their efforts to address the homelessness crisis in Greater Portland. As the executive director of the Quality Housing Coalition, Victoria Morales expressed her excitement about the donation and stated that stable housing is the foundation of health.
InterMed, Maine’s largest independent physician-owned practice, has grown to serve more than 100,000 patients across the state with a team of over 900 clinicians and staff. To commemorate their 30th anniversary, InterMed wanted to place their support with an organization that directly works to mitigate the affordable housing crisis in southern Maine. This partnership between InterMed and Quality Housing Coalition aims to address the community conditions that Maine people need to thrive.
The Quality Housing Coalition’s Project HOME program has provided 650 permanent homes to more than 1,500 adults and children who have experienced homelessness. With this donation from InterMed, they will continue their work towards securing permanent homes and financial security for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
