Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has entered the concussion protocol at the starting of this week. This announcement was produced by head coach Mike McDaniel throughout his Monday press conference. Waddle sustained a concussion throughout Sunday night’s game against the Patriots when he was hit by linebacker Marte Mapu though attempting to catch a pass from Tua Tagovailoa. The hit resulted in a penalty for Mapu and Waddle was unable to return to the game. Prior to his departure, Waddle had recorded 4 catches for 86 yards, creating him the team’s best receiver for the evening. In the initial two weeks of the standard season, he has accumulated a total of eight catches for 164 yards.
