Scarlett Johansson rumored to star in upcoming Jurassic World film

Scarlett Johansson has recently joined the cast of an upcoming Jurassic World movie. The new installment of the popular dinosaur franchise could see Johansson following in the footsteps of her Marvel co-star Chris Pratt, who led the previous films. Pratt starred in the 2015 movie Jurassic World and its sequels, which brought back original cast members Sam Neill and Laura Dern, and collectively earned over $1 billion globally.

The new Jurassic World film will be directed by Gareth Edwards, known for his work on The Creature and Godzilla. The screenplay for the movie is being written by David Koepp, who penned the original Jurassic Park film back in 1993. The upcoming reboot is expected to focus on a new set of characters, with production scheduled to begin soon for a release in summer 2025.

Aside from the Jurassic World movie, Scarlett Johansson has recently appeared in films like Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City and the comedy North Star. She is set to star alongside Channing Tatum in an untitled romantic comedy set during the 1960s space race. Additionally, Johansson will lead the TV series adaptation of the legal thriller Just Cause, written by recent Oscar-winner Cord Jefferson.

With all the Jurassic movies combined, the franchise has grossed over $6 billion at the worldwide box office. The latest installment featuring Scarlett Johansson is highly anticipated by fans of the series and is set to be a major summer blockbuster in 2025 along with other big releases like Superman: Legacy and Mission: Impossible 8.
