More than the years, the company expanded, adding a second retailer in Austin in 1974, followed by a San Antonio place in 1983. It later expanded to Houston and Sugarland. The two remaining areas for Louis Shanks Furnishings are the flagship retailer in Austin at 2930 W. Anderson Lane and the sister retailer in San Antonio at Interstate ten and Huebner.
