Mary Jo Eckenrode, a beloved member of the Niles community, passed away peacefully at home on November 17th, 2023. She was 64 years old. Born in Warren on March 24th, 1959, Mary Jo was the daughter of James W. and Rosalie Nacco McGinnis.

Throughout her life, Mary Jo worked at Trumbull Regional Medical Center, where she dedicated herself to providing compassionate care to her patients. Her unwavering commitment to her work and her passion for helping others left a lasting impact on all those who knew her.

Mary Jo was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her husband Thomas Eckenrode; her daughter Sarah Winston of Austintown; her mother Rosalie McGinnis of Niles; one grandson; and three sisters: Carolyn S. McGinnis of McDonald, Carla J. Scites of Niles and Lois Welsh of Edgewater, Maryland.

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her father; a son Matthew Winston; an infant daughter; stepson Thomas Eckenrode II; and one brother. Her loss will be deeply felt by all who knew her, but her memory will live on through the lives she touched and the legacy she leaves behind.
