Medina, Ohio – On November 25, the city of Medina will be participating in Small Business Saturday to promote local businesses and communities within the city. Small Business Saturday is a part of a larger “Shop Small Movement” founded by American Express in 2010 to help businesses draw in more customers. The event is dedicated to supporting small businesses and communities across the country and helping them thrive.

Starting at 11 am on November 25th, Medina will celebrate Small Business Saturday with a table set up in the Huntington Bank lobby located at 39 Public Square with “Shop Small” handouts and info about Medina’s small business community. Santa will also be dropping by from noon-2 pm at Wichert Insurance, 119 N. Court St.

According to a recent Main Street Medina press release, over 90% of the business district storefronts in Medina are filled with local, independent retail shops, boutiques, restaurants and pubs as well as a wide range of services. To learn more about these local businesses or to find out how you can support them during Small Business Saturday or any other time of year, contact Main Street Medina Executive Director George Sam at george@mainstreetmedina.com or check out their website for a full list of local businesses:
