On Monday, a candlelight vigil will be held to remember Bradley Haas, the security guard who was killed in the lobby of the state hospital on Friday. The vigil will take place near the hospital at 4:30 p.m., and mental health support will be available on-site for attendees, provided by NAMI NH. Anyone who cannot attend but would like mental health support is encouraged to call 988, the state’s Suicide Prevention and Crisis Lifeline. Help is also available by texting 833-710-6477 and visiting nh988.com.

Bradley Haas, a 63-year-old man from Franklin, was killed at the hospital where he had worked since 2019 as a security guard. He had previously served as Franklin’s police chief before joining the hospital’s staff. The state police have not released much information about what led to Haas’ death or whether there is any connection between him and a U-Haul found running in the parking lot with an AR-style rifle, tactical vest, and several magazines of ammunition inside.
