Mikaela Shiffrin tied Lindsey Vonn‘s female record with her 137th profession Alpine skiing Planet Cup podium, taking third location in the slalom at the Planet Cup Finals in Andorra on Saturday.

Shiffrin, racing for the second time considering the fact that breaking Ingemar Stenmark‘s profession Alpine Planet Cup wins record final Saturday, completed 86 hundredths behind Olympic champion Petra Vlhova of Slovakia, combining instances from two runs.

Six of the 22 skiers skied out of the second run on soft snow.

In Shiffrin’s preceding race at the season-ending Finals, she was 14th in Thursday’s super-G, which is not 1 of her key events.

Shiffrin earned her 137th podium in her 248th start off, which means she has completed in the prime 3 in 55 % of her Planet Cup races dating to her debut at age 15 in 2011.

The only males with far more Alpine Planet Cup podiums are the Swede Stenmark (155) and Austrian Marcel Hirscher (138).

Shiffrin’s initial likelihood to break her tie with Vonn comes in Sunday’s giant slalom, the final race of the season, reside on Peacock.

Shiffrin, who broke Vonn’s female profession wins record of 82 in January, clinched season titles in the all round, GS and slalom ahead of the Finals.

Also Saturday, Swiss Marco Odermatt won the men’s giant slalom by two.11 seconds — the biggest margin of victory in any men’s Planet Cup race in 4 years — for his 13th Planet Cup victory this season, tying the men’s single-season record.

He also reached two,042 points for the season, breaking Austrian Hermann Maier‘s men’s record of two,000 points in 1 season from 1999-2000.

Slovenian Tina Maze holds the all round record of two,414 points from 2012-13.

“We partied really hard on Thursday,” right after winning the Planet Cup Finals super-G, Odermatt mentioned, according to the International Ski Federation. “Today wasn’t quick mainly because of these damn two,000 points. I actually wanted the podium nowadays. So, a further victory, two seconds ahead, I do not know what to say.”
