Orlando Pride remains unbeaten in NWSL with Banda’s 2 goals

The Orlando Pride secured a 4-1 victory against the North Carolina Courage, with Barbra Banda playing a crucial role in all four goals. By remaining undefeated, the Pride (4-0-3) are among the top three teams in the National Women’s Soccer League. The first goal came in the 29th minute when Banda expertly passed to Ally Watt, who scored past the Courage goalkeeper, Casey Murphy.

Watt returned the favor by setting up Banda for the second goal in the 40th minute. It was a strategic move by coach Seb Hines to capitalize on the speed and agility of both players, which led to a dominant performance on the field. Just before halftime, Banda launched another fierce attack that resulted in a rebound goal by Julie Doyle, giving Orlando a 3-0 lead.

In the 77th minute, Banda showcased her skills once again as she maneuvered through the Courage defense to score her second goal of the game. With a total of three goals and two assists in just two starts, Banda has proven to be a key player for the Pride. In contrast, the Courage had a tough night, failing to register a single shot on target but managing to force an own goal in the second half.
