Ryan Poles describes Keenan Allen as “the ideal match”

Chicago recently acquired receiver Keenan Allen through a trade, adding another weapon to their offense in preparation for selecting Caleb Williams as the presumed No. 1 overall draft pick. The Bears’ General Manager Ryan Poles expressed admiration for Allen’s performance in Kansas City and noted that he continues to play at a high level despite his age.

Poles mentioned that the team’s personnel staff had been monitoring Allen as a potential cap casualty when he became available. With his experience, knowledge of the NFL, and ability to read defenses, Poles believes that Allen is the perfect fit to mentor and support a young quarterback like Justin Fields or Trubisky.

With Allen joining other talented players like DJ Moore, Cole Kmet, Gerald Everett, and D’Andre Swift on the offense roster, Poles envisions a dynamic and special offense for the Bears going forward. In just 13 games last season, Allen achieved a career-high with 108 catches, 1,243 yards, and seven touchdowns.
