Science Museum Oklahoma vying for Newsweek’s Best Science Museum award

Science Museum Oklahoma (SMO) has been nominated for Newsweek magazine’s Best Science Museum award. Since its establishment in 1958, SMO has been a hub for science education and cultural enrichment, captivating Oklahomans and visitors with its interactive exhibits, discovery-based activities, astronomy shows, Science Live demonstrations, educational outreach efforts, and special events.

In recent years, SMO has seen remarkable growth and success. In 2023, the museum reported record-breaking attendance records with over six million visitors.
