World Central Kitchen reveals the identities of employees who lost their lives in Gaza

The recent loss of seven World Central Kitchen (WCK) employees in Gaza has shocked the world and brought attention to the ongoing conflict in the region. On March 12, a ship carrying 200 tons of food departed for Gaza, with more planned, but unfortunately, on their way back from a mission, the group was struck by Israeli airstrikes. Among those killed were Saifeddin Issam Aydan Abutaha, Lalzawami Frankcom, Damian Soból, Jacob Flickinger, John Chapman, James Henderson, and James Kirby.

These employees were part of the WCK relief team or security team and were delivering over 100 tons of food to Gaza just before the tragic event occurred. Israel’s Prime Minister expressed regret over the incident and called it an “unintended strike” while WCK founder José Andrés called on the government to stop indiscriminate killing and prevent any more innocent lives from being lost. The deaths have been mourned by their friends and relatives as well as the wider humanitarian community.

The WCK is a non-profit organization that has been working tirelessly to deliver food to civilians in Gaza since its inception. The organization has recently sent food shipments to Gaza and had plans for more. The loss of these employees is not only a tragedy for their families but also for the humanitarian community as a whole. It is crucial that all parties involved in this conflict work towards finding a peaceful solution that does not result in further loss of life or harm to civilians.
