South Carolina forward Collin Murray-Boyles has been named Freshman of the Week, while Texas A&M guard Tyrece Radford was named Player of the Week. Murray-Boyles, a 6-foot-7 freshman from Columbia, S.C., averaged 23.5 points, eight rebounds and 1.5 blocks in wins over Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. In the win against Vanderbilt, he shot an impressive 78.6 percent from the floor and had a career-high 31 points on 14-of-17 (82.4 percent) shooting along with seven rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block.
On the other hand, Radford is a senior guard from Baton Rouge, La., who played for Texas A&M. He averaged an impressive 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in wins at Missouri and against No.6 Tennessee. During the win against Tennessee, Radford scored 27 points on 9-of-17 (52.9 percent) shooting along with five rebounds and five assists. He was particularly efficient in his shooting as he made 53.1 percent of his shots and connected on an impressive 80 percent of his shots from the charity stripe
