Barcelona forward Marc Guiu has once again scored a crucial goal at the Under-17 World Cup, helping Spain advance to the quarter-finals of the competition. In their final group fixture, Spain defeated Japan 2-1, with Guiu’s teammate Quim Junyent also finding the back of the net in the game.

Junyent opened the scoring for La Rojita after just eight minutes of play, and Japan equalised five minutes before halftime. In the second half, Junyent provided an assist to Guiu, who scored the winning goal and secured Spain’s spot in the quarter-finals. Junyent was awarded man of the match for his outstanding performance in the game.

Spain will now face either the USA or Germany in their next match, with a chance to advance to the semi-finals. If they play against Germany, Spain’s Barca contingent will come up against Noah Darvich, who has been performing well for his national side at this tournament.
