Spring Sports Kick Off in Lenawee County: Girls Soccer and Lacrosse Teams Take to the Field

Spring sports activities in Lenawee County are in full swing

The spring season is well underway for high school sports in Lenawee County, with girls soccer teams taking to the field on Monday. In the opening match, Clinton defeated Tecumseh 8-2. Aubrey Lauer scored an impressive six goals for Clinton, while Anna Schaffner added two more goals and two assists. Kaylee Raiser also contributed two assists. Goalkeeper Jackie Whiting made six saves for Clinton. On the other hand, Tecumseh’s Shaylinn Drouillard scored both of her team’s goals in the match.

In another game, Monroe bested Blissfield 7-2. Meanwhile, in lacrosse action, the Tecumseh girls team started their season with a 16-4 loss to Sylvania Northview. The visiting team from Ohio proved to be a tough opponent. Sapphira Williams and Emily Burgess each scored a goal and added an assist for Tecumseh. Jayden Poley and Jazlyn Reau also netted a goal each in the game.
