About 20 folks, such as teenagers and their parents, spent Wednesday evening speaking about mental wellness and approaches to deal with conflict at the second session of the Teen Mental Wellness Verify-In. This occasion was held by the Girls Dig Deeper Initiative (GDDI) and Macon Mental Wellness Matters (MMHM) at the Rosa Jackson Recreation Center.

“We talked about how we are feeling, what mental wellness implies to us, indicators and symptoms of leading mental wellness diagnoses and how to recognize them,” stated GDDI Founder Najiva Timothee. “Everyone in the space was engaged—listening, taking notes and asking queries.”

MMHM offered information and facts about resolving conflict, meditation, relaxation, and grounding methods for anxiousness prevention. Teens also discovered about diverse mental wellness problems and how to cope with them.

“Even although we are closing out Might for Mental Wellness Month, I encourage our youth and households to continue to prioritize their mental wellness and wellness on a everyday basis,” stated Timothee.
