A brand-new flag football team is set to launch in Quincy this spring

In Quincy, the Boston Brigade is making waves in the sports scene as a new professional flag football team in the American Flag Football League (AFFL). The team will be based at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium for their inaugural season and is expected to have an exciting lineup of games this spring.

Former BSU quarterback James Cahoon caught the eye of NFL scouts at Holy Cross Pro Day on March 21, 2024, showcasing his skills and putting himself on the radar of professional football teams looking for potential talent.

The Boston Brigade is one of the first four professional flag football teams ever established and is gearing up for their first home double-header on May 11. The team will face off against the Nashville Nighthawks and Las Vegas Lucky Sevens in what is sure to be an action-packed event. Tickets for the games can be purchased through the team’s official website.

The team’s season will consist of eight games, starting on April 27 in Las Vegas and ending on June 15 in Nashville. The championship game will be held on June 22 in Dallas, capping off what is expected to be a thrilling season for the Boston Brigade.

The increasing popularity of flag football, especially with its addition to the 2028 Olympics, has brought more excitement to Boston’s sports scene and added to its storied history in athletics.
