The University of Utah ELEVATE Maternal Wellness Analysis Center of Excellence is partnering with neighborhood organizations such as USARA, the Utah Division of Wellness and Human Solutions, and the Utah Ladies and Newborns Good quality Collaborative to give scientific proof for enhanced clinical care for vulnerable populations. This collaboration aims to address the rising prices of maternal deaths by identifying and overcoming structural barriers, like racism, classism, and stigma.
Major the ELEVATE Center is a group of U of U Wellness faculty members, like Erin Johnson, Ph.D., who serves as the director. Other group members contain Michelle Debbink, M.D., Adam Gordon, M.D., Marcela Smid, M.D., Susanna Cohen, D.N.P., Melissa Watt, Ph.D., Dave Turok, M.D., Jasmin Charles, P.A., J.D. Smith, Ph.D., and Tom Greene, Ph.D. Collectively, this diverse group of professionals will operate towards advertising far better maternal wellness outcomes by means of their study and advocacy efforts.
