Timber Lake secures first and second place at High Plains Regional Science Fair

Shawn Quinn, a student from Timber Lake High School, recently showcased his winning project, “Ultrasonic Haptic Awareness: Phase 2,” at the High Plains Regional Science Fair in Rapid City. His outstanding performance earned him a spot at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in Los Angeles.

Quinn’s innovative research on Ultrasonic Haptic Awareness impressed the judges and secured him a chance to represent the High Plains region at the upcoming fair. His project stood out among the senior division projects at the regional science fair, earning him the first-place qualifier position for the prestigious international competition.

Timber Lake High School students dominated the competition, with two students claiming the top awards. The success of these students highlights the school’s commitment to academic excellence and scientific innovation.
