Union-Endicott High School’s technology department awarded Program of Excellence

The Technology & Engineering Department at Union-Endicott High School has been recognized with the New York State Technology Education & Engineering Association Program of Excellence Award. This prestigious award was given to the department, which offers programs such as welding, automotive, flight simulation, and carpentry, by the Southern Tier Technology & Engineering Educators Association.

The technology teachers at Union-Endicott High School, Corey Munn, Mike Wichowski, and Tom Palazzo, accepted the award at the NYSTEA annual conference. Over the past few years, enrollment in the department has doubled due to its significant growth. Corey Munn expressed his gratitude for the recognition and stated that it was a great honor to receive the award and be recognized by his peers for their efforts in building a high-quality program.

This recognition is not only an honor for the school but also opens up new opportunities for Union-Endicott High School. The department is now being considered for the International Technology Educators & Engineering Association’s Program of Excellence Award, representing New York State in this process. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the school’s technology department and their commitment to providing students with high-quality education in technology and engineering fields.
