Texas A&M Basketball has been off to a strong start this season, currently sporting a 4-0 record. Their recent victories over Ohio State and SMU have shown their poise and toughness in close games. The team’s win over Oral Roberts further solidified their impressive start.

Next on the docket for the Aggies is the ESPN Invitational Tournament, where they will face off against Penn State in a rematch of last year’s NCAA Tournament opening-round loss. Head coach Buzz Williams and his determined squad are eager to make amends for that defeat and prove themselves in the tournament.

In the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, Texas A&M climbed two spots to No. 13, highlighting their impressive start has caught the attention of voters. They remain undefeated heading into the ESPN Invitational Tournament, positioning themselves as a force to be reckoned with in college basketball. They are currently ranked as the second highest-ranked SEC program behind Tennessee at No. 8.

Other SEC teams in the top 25 include Alabama at No. 22, Kentucky at No. 16, and Mississippi State, who made their first appearance in the rankings this year with a 5-0 record. Arkansas, Auburn, and South Carolina also received votes in the poll, showcasing the strength of the conference early on in the season.
