The Vikings started Sunday night’s game on the back foot as Josh Dobbs fumbled on the opening drive, allowing Denver to take an early lead. But the club came back with a vengeance, scoring 10 points in the first half to lead Denver 10-9.

Minnesota’s second quarter was marked by some impressive plays. Josh Oliver scored a 3-yard touchdown, while Greg Joseph hit a 34-yard field goal for Minnesota’s 10 points. Wil Lutz added two more field goals, including a spectacular 52-yarder that went through just as time expired in the second quarter.

Despite some struggles with snap problems and fumbles, Dobbs played well in the first half. He was 11-of-13 for 126 yards and had one touchdown. Alexander Mattison took ten carries for 50 yards, while Ty Chandler had thirty yards on six attempts.

The Broncos struggled throughout the first half, with no third down conversions and just fifteen rushing yards after twenty minutes. Russell Wilson was only able to complete thirteen of his seventeen passes for one hundred thirty-two yards. Courtland Sutton led with two catches for thirty-eight yards.

As they prepare for the second half, both teams will be looking to make improvements and gain an advantage over each other.
