Jefferson & Madison Counties to Host Wellness Expo in Collaboration with Health Departments

In the spirit of promoting overall health and wellness in the community, the Jefferson & Madison County Departments of Health Chronic Disease Committee has organized a wellness expo that will take place in the Monticello area. This event, which will be held on 4 to 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Monticello, is open to the public and completely free to attend.

The expo will feature over 30 vendors offering a diverse array of wellness resources and information. Administrator Kimberly Allbritton, who led the organizing efforts, emphasizes the importance of events like these in raising awareness about colo-rectal health and encouraging proactive health practices.

Beyond the wellness vendors, Second Harvest of the Big Bend will also be present at the expo, offering a free produce giveaway and cooking demonstrations. These activities are designed to help individuals improve their health and well-being by providing them with valuable resources and information.

Overall, this wellness expo promises to be an excellent opportunity for members of the community to learn more about how they can take charge of their health and live a happier, more fulfilling life. With its wide range of vendors, informative sessions, and fun activities, it’s not something you won’t want to miss!
