Donald Trump seeks to regain immunity in the Capitol storming case through Supreme Court efforts

Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, has challenged a lower court ruling that he does not have immunity from prosecution in an attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election. The decision was made on February 6 by the D.C. Court of Appeals. In its ruling, the court stated that any immunity in force during the presidency does not provide protection from criminal prosecution in the future.

The American media is closely watching this case as it will determine whether Trump has immunity from criminal prosecution for his actions while in office. The Supreme Court will be making this decision and it will be up to nine justices, three of whom were appointed by Trump during his tenure as president, to decide on this issue of immunity.
