Faculty and staff from Tangier Smith Elementary School and John S. Hobart Elementary School recently participated in a charity game against the Harlem Wizards, a world-famous basketball team. The event featured Kopa, the therapy dog, serving as an honorary referee for the game.
The Harlem Wizards made a return to William Floyd to take on the faculty and staff from Tangier Smith Elementary School and John S. Hobart Elementary School in a friendly basketball game. The evening was filled with basketball skills displays, a “Wiz-Kids” warm-up, comedy, contests, raffles, slam dunks, autographs, and more. The night ended with the “Wiz-Kids” joining in the Wizards’ dance party.
The event was a fun-filled evening for all who attended, with thanks to the Harlem Wizards for visiting William Floyd once again. Special recognition was given to the Hobart and Tangier Smith PTOs for their hard work in organizing the event. Additional photos from the event can be found in the album below.
