Worli: Tech firm CEO hit by auto when jogging at Worli Sea Face in Mumbai, dies | Mumbai News

MUMBAI: A 42-year-old lady, who was jogging, died on the spot just after a speeding auto hit her at the Worli Sea Face early on Sunday morning.
According to the police the accident took location close to Worli Milk Dairy at about six.30am.
The lady has been identified as Rajalaxmi Ram Krishnan, a resident of Dadar Matunga region.
According to the eye witnesses, the accident’s influence was so extreme that the lady was thrown away quite a few feet up in the air and died due to significant head injuries.
Rajalaxmi was the CEO of a technologies firm. She was a fitness freak and typical runner. Rajalakshmi was amongst the jogger’s group from Shivaji park and the group often does jogging on Sundays.
Her husband, who is also a runner, had reached Shivaji park when he got a get in touch with from the police and his wife’s colleague that his wife has met with an accident and asked him to come to Worli.
She was taken to the nearby Podar hospital exactly where she was declared dead. Rajalaxmi was the CEO of a technologies firm.
Preeti Sompura, a journalist, who was witness to the incident, stated that the regional persons caught the driver and handed him to the Worli police.
The driver of the electric Tata Nexon auto was identified as Sumer Merchant (23), a resident of Tardeo. Sumer along with his buddy had been going towards Shivaji Park to drop their female buddy when the accident took location.
Merchant who has been booked by the Worli police below several sections will be created ahead of the vacation court in Dadar.
The witnesses told police that the auto was at a really higher speed.
The police are however to make a decision on the IPC sections and have sent him for a healthcare test to verify whether or not he was below the influence of alcohol.
Sumer told police that he lost handle of the car and hit the divider ahead of hitting the lady.
“We will strictly go by the eyewitnesses accounts as effectively the CCTV footages and his blood samples have been collected and additional investigations are underway,” stated a police officer.
