Yue “Sophie” Wang of Clemson University has been appointed as the new system director for CMMI Dynamics, Manage and Systems Diagnostics at the National Science Foundation. In this function, Wang will be accountable for figuring out which investigation projects will acquire funding, providing her important influence more than investigation and education nationwide. Though Wang will be primarily based at the National Science Foundation for at least a year, she will continue to hold her position as the Warren H. Owen-Duke Power Professor at Clemson University. Wang is also the director of the Intelligent and Interdisciplinary Analysis (I2R) laboratory in the Division of Mechanical Engineering at Clemson. Her investigation interests include things like modeling, manage, and studying approaches for human-robot collaboration systems, autonomy and multi-robot systems, and symbolic verification and robot motion arranging. Wang’s function has been published in more than 90 journal publications, peer-reviewed conference papers, and books, and has been cited more than two,443 instances. Her investigation has received assistance from different federal agencies and market partners. Wang is a senior member of IEEE and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
